Frost, of Kooskia, Arrested for Felony Battery on a Police Officer, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, and More

On March 16, 2024, at approximately 10:30PM, an Idaho County Deputy was on routine patrol in the city of Kooskia, when he stopped a vehicle for having no taillights.

After contacting the male driver, an odor of marijuana was detected from the vehicle and another deputy was called to assist. The driver was asked to exit the vehicle, as a search was going to be conducted. The male refused and struck one of the deputies in the face several times. A physical altercation ensued, resulting in the male being tased before being taken into custody.

Daniel Frost, age 53, of Kooskia, Idaho was arrested for felony battery on a police officer, felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, misdemeanor resisting and obstructing, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.
