(WASHINGTON, D.C.) — This week, U.S. Congressman Russ Fulcher joined the Idaho Congressional Delegation in submitting a Congressional Record honoring Major General Michael J. Garshak on his retirement from the National Guard and his distinguished service as the Adjutant General of Idaho.
“For almost four decades, Major General Garshak has demonstrated unwavering commitment to our nation and the state of Idaho,” said Congressman Fulcher. “From his early days as an Apache helicopter platoon leader to his role as the adjutant general, Major General Garshak’s leadership has left a profound impact on countless servicemembers. I join many in expressing my gratitude for his exemplary service and wish him a blessed, fulfilling retirement. It is well deserved.”
Upon Major General Garshak’s retirement, Idaho Governor Brad Little selected Brigadier General Tim Donnellan, a combat veteran A-10 pilot, to become Idaho’s 26th adjutant general.
“The Idaho Military Division is in strong hands with Brigadier General Tim Donnellan,” Congressman Fulcher added. “His military career has demonstrated his dedication to excellence and showcased his leadership capability—whether in an A-10 or on the ground. I look forward to continuing my collaboration with Governor Little, and the entire Idaho Congressional Delegation, to support the critical missions at Gowen Field and the Idaho National Guard.”
