CLARKSTON, Wash. – The Lower Granite Natural Resource Management office, in support of Asotin County Stormwater, is closing a short section of the Greenbelt Trail near Chestnut Park from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31.

This closure will allow Asotin County Stormwater to complete repairs to a storm drain and eroded hillside adjacent to the trail. The work is expected to take less than a day and the section of trail will reopen as soon as it is completed.

Visitors should stay clear of the closed area while work is in progress. Access to the parking lot at Chestnut Park will not be impacted and visitors can continue to use other sections of the Greenbelt Trail.

For more information, please contact the Lower Granite Natural Resource Management office at 509-751-0240 or send an email to clarkstonnaturalresources@usace.army.mil.
