Idaho Gas Prices Jump Nine Cents This Week

(Idaho State) Even with lower temperatures, Idaho drivers are seeing gas prices heat up.  According to AAA, today’s average price for a gallon of regular in the Gem State is $3.19, which is nine cents more than a week ago, 12 cents more than a month ago, and 27 cents more than a year ago.

The national average currently sits at $3.14 per gallon, which is four cents more than a week ago and seven cents more than a month ago, but five cents less than a year ago.

Today, Idaho ranks 12th in the country for the most expensive fuel, with regional neighbors Washington ($4.04), Nevada ($3.77) and Oregon ($3.67) paying more, while Utah ($3.05), Colorado ($3.05), Montana ($3.02) and Wyoming ($2.98) are paying less.

“The cost of crude oil has dropped substantially in the last month or so.  We’re hoping that the cold weather and favorable crude prices will put spiking gas prices in the deep freeze for a while,” says AAA Idaho public affairs director Matthew Conde.  “Try to conserve fuel wherever possible and bundle your trips to stretch your fuel budget.”

The West Texas Intermediate benchmark for crude oil is currently trading near $72.50 per barrel, which is about $1 less than a week ago, but $4 less than a month ago and a year ago.  The price of crude oil makes up more than half of the price of finished gasoline.

Here’s a look at Idaho gas prices as of 2/10/25:

Boise – $3.19

Coeur d’Alene – $3.12

Franklin – $3.06

Idaho Falls – $3.18

Lewiston – $3.11
