(Idaho State) Idaho school districts, preschools and childcare organizations will again receive funding to install, improve or replace child nutrition technology solutions with the USDA fiscal year 2023 Technology Improvement Grant (TIG).
The USDA provided Idaho a total of $300,000 to award to Child Nutrition Program (CNP) sponsors in the form of mini grants over the course of the next two years. In Round 1 of the grant cycle, CNP awarded $157,639.96 to help 15 organizations purchase new equipment for their Child and Adult Care Food Program, Summer Food Service Program and National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. The grants are designed to assist CNP sponsors in adding technology that will improve accountability, performance and data accuracy within all Child Nutrition Programs statewide.
