Idaho State Police Investigating Fatality Crash in Owyhee County

MERIDIAN – Idaho State Police is investigating a vehicle collision which occurred on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 11:09 P.M., on US95 at mile marker 3, in Owyhee County.

A Jeep Cherokee was traveling northbound on US95.  A Dodge Ram was traveling southbound on US95.  The driver of the Jeep crossed the center line and struck the Ram head-on.

The driver of the Ram, a 60-year-old man from Post Falls succumbed to his injures on scene.  The driver of the Jeep, a 32-year-old woman from Boise was transported by ground to a local hospital.  The Idaho State Police is working with the Owyhee County Coroner on notification of next of kin.

The southbound lane on US95 was blocked for approximately three hours, allowing emergency responders to assist those involved and clear the scene.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
