(Lenore, ID) On June 30, 2024, at 5:05 pm a crash occurred on US12 at milepost 29, approximately 2 miles east of Lenore, ID. A silver Honda Accord driven by a 36-year-old female from Lewiston, ID, was traveling eastbound on US12 when she crossed left of center causing a westbound gray 2018 Hyundai Tucson to swerve.
The Honda then lost control striking a white 2020 Ford Explorer driven by a 48-year-old female from Potlatch, ID that was travelling westbound as well. The driver of the Honda was not wearing her seatbelt and was partially ejected. She succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash. The driver of the Ford and the passenger, 55-year-old male from Potlatch, ID, were transported by air ambulance to a local hospital.
The highway was blocked for 2 hours and 40 minutes. The next of kin of the deceased have been notified.
