Idaho State Police respond to a crash on US95 near milepost 255 in Idaho County

On July 26, 2023, at approximately 2:58 p.m., Idaho State Police responded to a crash on US95 near milepost 255 in Idaho County, Idaho. A 75-year-old female from Nezperce, Idaho, driving a Chevy Sonic, was at  the intersection of Main Street and US95, in Cottonwood, Idaho. A 23-year-old male from Troy, Idaho, driving a Toyota Prius, was traveling northbound on US95. The preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of the Chevy Sonic pulled out in front of the Toyota Prius causing the collision. The driver and passenger of the Chevy Sonic were transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital. Traffic on US95 near Cottonwood was blocked in both directions for approximately 2 hours to allow emergency responders to assist those involved and clear the scene. This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
