(Lewiston, ID) Warrior Men’s Golf announced the signing of another international student-athlete in Italy’s Andrea Artusini. The native of Massa e Cozzile, Italy will join LC State in the fall.
“Andrea is an immediate impact guy,” coach Zach Anderson said. “Throughout the recruitment process he always had great questions which shows the maturity he will bring to this program. As an Italian junior national team player, his tournament resume speaks for itself. He is a grinder who is always trying to get better, plays in high level tournaments and challenges himself. Because of this, I know he has what it takes to attack the challenge of performing in a new country, new courses and overall a new environment. We are excited to welcome Andrea Artusini to our family.”
Artusini competes for Circolo Golf dell’Ugolino and helped the team tie for fifth at the Italian Boys Championships in 2024. He won the individual regional title in 2024 and tied for second at Coppa Citta di Roma. Artusini tied for third at the Italian Boys Championship, tied for seventh at the Italian Boys Match Play Championship and won four tournaments in 2023.
“I want to help the team as much as possible by training hard physically, technically and mentally,” Artusini said. “Coming in as a freshman, I have to try to adapt as soon as possible and support the team in all ways, both playing in tournaments and working together to create team chemistry and have fun together.”
