Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office seeking support In Hopes of funding K9 Luuki bullet resistant vest

Kootenai County, Idaho –The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office and Non-Profit Keeping K-9s in Kevlar hope to fund bullet resistant vests for K9 Luuki. Coeur d’Alene, ID:  Bullet-resistant vests for K-9s are not in the budget for many law enforcement departments. Non-profit Keeping K-9s in Kevlar accepted the responsibility to bring the community together and help fund the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office’s K9 Luuki for a (bullet-resistant) Kevlar vest with the assistance of community donations. The non-profit seeks community heroes to assist in funding K9 Luuki’s Kevlar vest. K9 Luuki’s Kevlar vest costs $2,784.

Nonprofits are how most departments receive K-9 Kevlar vests: K9 Luuki’s workdays include, but are not limited to, pursuing the most violent offenders, taking narcotics off the streets, and doing article searches and area and building searches. In addition, the Kevlar vest needing funding will protect against stabbing, shrapnel, and bullets shot from common handguns.  Fundraising is continuous to ensure the purchase of a Kevlar vest for K9 Luuki.

To Donate:  Keeping K-9s in Kevlar raises community funds through PAYPAL or https://bit.ly/3GJa8We  K9 Luuki will receive 100% of donations to fund his vest.  If contributions exceed that total after the campaign ends, funds will roll over to the following K9 needing assistance.
