Kootenai County Shooting Suspect Located and Arrested

Kootenai County, Idaho- In the late hours of 04/05/2024, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Upriver Drive and Hwy 95 near Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. A caller reported a male had exited his vehicle and fired multiple shots towards them.

Based on the deputies investigation, they were able to confirm several shots were fired at the location. A male victim was later located several miles away with a non-life threatening injury sustained from one of the shots being fired.

With the assistance of the Coeur d’ Alene Police Department’s Community Action Team (CAT), the suspect was located a short time later and taken into custody without further incident.

The suspect was identified as Devin C. Spring, an 18-year-old male from Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. Spring was booked into the Kootenai County Jail for two counts of aggravated assault.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Coeur d’ Alene Police for their assistance in this investigation.
