LC State Baseball Picked Second in NAIA Baseball Preseason Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After a National Runner-Up finish last season, the Lewis-Clark State Baseball team will open 2023 ranked No. 2 in the NAIA preseason poll. The Warriors put together a historic campaign that ended in the winner-take-all national title game in Lewiston last season.

LC State enjoyed a historic 2022 season where it got off to its best start in program history (20-1) and set the program record for longest winning streak with 28 games. The Warriors finished with a 58-7 overall record. LC led the nation in doubles (178) and finished in the NAIA’s top three in runs scored (619), hits (753), RBI (570), strikeouts (653) and ERA (3.21).

A full preview, including a look at the fresh-faced Warrior roster, will be available before the start of the season in early February.
