LC State Cross Country Earns 10 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete Nods

Lewiston, ID – The NAIA released the 2022 Daktronics NAIA Cross Country Scholar-Athletes on Thursday and 10 Warriors earned accolades. Five men and five women met the criteria of having a 3.5 cumulative GPA after at least one year at LC State.

Connor Turpin led all LC State Cross Country runners with his fourth Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete honor. Kelsey Henry led the women with her third nod, and Brycen Brown, Conner May, Luke Sellmann, Abigail Gorton, Brooklyn Shell and Madison Howe each earned their second. Carter Gordon and Grace McCormick both brought home the award for the first time in their careers.

The Warriors race at the 2022 NAIA Cross Country National Championships on Friday morning. A full preview will be available Thursday afternoon.
