(Lewiston, ID) After wrapping up another strong season at the NAIA Cross Country National Championships, coach Mike Collins and the Warriors have started to add to the 2025 roster. Sven Druijff will join LC State Men’s Cross Country in the fall out of Amersfoort, Netherlands.
“A talented and dedicated runner, Sven brings exceptional skills and a strong commitment to the Warrior team,” Collins said. “Sven has had to jump through a lot of hoops to make this happen. As an international student-athlete, the process of coming to the U.S. requires a tremendous amount of dedication and effort. Sven’s commitment to joining us speaks volumes about his character and passion for the sport. The team is excited to welcome Sven to the LC State campus and can’t wait to see him don the Warrior uniform this fall. His arrival marks the start of a promising chapter, both for him and the program.”
Druijff was a member of the 2019 Dutch Champion Cross Country team at the high school level. He attends ‘t Hooghe Landt College, a high school in his hometown of Amersfoort, Netherlands. As a runner with AV Triathlon, Druijff helped his team to a regional title and was the club’s U20 champion in cross country.
“I want to be a part of the LC State Cross Country and Track and Field Team,” Druijff said. “I like to be a name and not a number and I want to reach my full potential as an athlete and a student at LC State.”
