LC State jazz and rock bands to hold spring concerts

LEWISTON, Idaho – The Lewis-Clark State College Jazz Band and Rock Band have scheduled their spring concerts, which are free and open to the public.

 

The LC State Rock Band will perform on Monday, April 29, at 7:30 p.m. at the Student Union Building Amphitheatre. If inclement weather, the performance will be moved inside to the Silverthorne Theatre. The performance will feature two student-led groups, Smokestack and Normal Hill, each playing a diverse mix of rock and country along with a few original songs.

 

The LC State Jazz Band will perform on Wednesday, May 1, at 7:30 p.m. at the Silverthorne Theatre. This will be the final concert this semester for LC State’s flagship instrumental ensemble and will feature the music of Stan Kenton.  

The bands are under the direction of Joe Proud, instructor of instrumental music in the LC State Humanities Division.
