LC State Men Claim Victory, Quisoboni Earns First Collegiate Win to Close Fall Season

WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Juan Pablo Quisoboni took home his first individual title on Monday as the No. 20 LC State Men’s Golf team won at the Whitman Confluence Invitational at the Wine Valley Golf Course.




Quisoboni carded four birdies to maintain his lead despite shooting a 2-over, 74. The senior earned a birdie on No. 16 to help secure his two-shot victory over Marcus Otto of NCAA Division III Pacific Lutheran.


“Huge shoutout to Juan getting his first collegiate win in his last college event,” coach Zach Anderson said.


Alex Navarro shot an eagle on No. 7 en route to a final round of 72 to finish in a tie for third. Oscar Behle earned a top-10 finish in a tie for eighth.


The Warriors shot the best team round on the second day (295) to extend their lead over second-place DIII Whitworth to eight strokes.


“Another solid day in some tough conditions,” Anderson said. “It was awesome to end the season with a win and bring some hardware back to Lewiston.”



Kyla Currie capped her strong 2023 fall season with a 4-over, 76 to give her a new 36-hole low of 150. Currie earned her third straight top-five finish with a tie for third.


LC State shot a second-round team score of 318, the second-best round of the day, to secure a third-place finish with a team score of 630. Defending NCAA Division III National Champion George Fox rolled to a team victory with a score of 596. Whitworth took second place with a score of 624.


“It was a grind of a fall season with ups and downs,” Anderson said. “But, we will take the positives and head into the offseason on a high note.”
