KANSAS CITY, Mo. – (Release from LC State College Athletics) A total of 18 LC State Track and Field student-athletes earned honor of being named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes, the national office announced on Wednesday.
Seniors Jaycob Atencio, Caleb Moore and Connor Turpin led the men’s team, along with juniors Brycen Brown, Conner May and Luke Sellmann, and sophomores Ian Gardom and London Kirk.
On the women’s side, seniors Ashley Britt and Kelsey Henry earned the honor, as did juniors Abigail Gorton, Sara Hathaway, Alexa Horsley, Madison Howe, Brooklyn Shell and Kea Stieglitz. Sophomores Jennah Carpenter and Madigan Kelly also earned the academic accolade.
To be named a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA and have been at least one year completed at LC State.
