LCCU Donating Over $22,000 to Payoff Local Student Lunch Debt

(Lewiston, ID) Lewis Clark Credit Union (LCCU) is paying off or significantly reducing outstanding student lunch balances in local school districts. According to LCCU, the initiative aims to ensure that no child in our area has to face barriers to receiving meals at school due to unpaid balances.

LCCU has committed to donating a total of $22,990.16 to alleviate lunch debt for
students in five area school districts:

•Asotin-Anatone School District: $1,517.93
•Clarkston School District Food Services: $572.23
•Orofino Joint School District: $5,000
•Lewiston Independent School District: $15,000
•Kendrick Joint School District: $900

“At LCCU, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve,” said Trisha Baker,
CEO of LCCU. “Every child deserves access to nutritious meals, and by addressing
these outstanding lunch balances, we hope to ease the burden on families and allow
students to focus on learning without the worry of meal debt.”
