Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport to Host TSA PreCheck® Enrollment Center

LEWISTON – Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport (LWS) is hosting a TSA PreCheck® enrollment event in collaboration with IDEMIA, a TSA PreCheck authorized enrollment provider.  Travelers will be able to enroll at Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport located at 406 Burrell Avenue, Lewiston, Idaho 83501, from Monday, August 14 through Friday, August 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

TSA PreCheck allows eligible travelers to enjoy a streamlined screening experience at the airport security checkpoint. The program is open to U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents. TSA PreCheck is a great option for travelers looking to save time during the airport security process. Enrolled members can travel with no need to remove shoes, laptops, 3-1-1 liquids, belts, or light jackets.  They can also access dedicated screening lanes at over 200 participating U.S. airports nationwide.

IDEMIA offers TSA PreCheck enrollment for $78. If approved, travelers get a five-year membership with the program.

IMPORTANT! To complete the application process, you will need to bring proof of identity and U.S. citizenship such as a U.S. Passport or a certified birth certificate and a driver’s license. If you have a valid U.S. passport, that is all you need to bring.

Applicants are encouraged to begin the enrollment process online at https://tsaenrollmentbyidemia.tsa.dhs.gov/programs/precheck and make an appointment for an in-person visit to complete enrollment. Fingerprints and a digital photo for a background check will be collected. At the in-person appointment, applicants will pay the $78 application fee, which covers five years of membership in TSA PreCheck. The fee can be paid by credit card, money order, company check, or certified/cashier’s check. Cash and personal checks are not accepted.

After completing enrollment, approved applicants will receive a Known Traveler Number

(KTN) via U.S. mail within about 10 days. Many individuals are approved several days after completing the in-person appointment, so you are encouraged to check your status online.

The enrollee should enter the provided KTN in the “Known Traveler Number” field when booking airline reservations.  The KTN can be added when booking reservations online on a participating airline website, via a call to the airline reservation center, or with the travel management company making reservations.  Additionally, the KTN can be entered in participating airline frequent flyer profiles, where it will be stored for future reservations.

When submitting an application to enroll in TSA PreCheck, it is important to make sure that the web site where you start the enrollment process has a “.gov” extension. Multiple companies unnecessarily charge customers to assist with scheduling appointments. We are not affiliated with them, and their fees do not apply to the enrollment fee paid at the appointment.
