Air Quality Alert:

Idaho Department of Environmental Quality in Lewiston
Nez Perce Tribe

An Air Quality Alert, for the Nez Perce Reservation as well as
Latah, Nez Perce and Lewis counties has been issued due to degraded
air quality from wildfire smoke. Smoke may move in and out of the
area depending on fire and wind activity; some areas may be more
impacted than others. Air quality  ranged from moderate
to unhealthy categories of the Air Quality Index through the
weekend. The next update will be by noon Monday, July 29th.

LC Valley

Today: Increasing clouds. Light and variable wind becoming west 11 to 16 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 26 mph. Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2am. Widespread haze between 1am and 4am.  Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. 92/67

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny. West wind 3 to 7 mph. Mostly clear overnight. West wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening. 86/65

Wednesday:  Sunny. Light and variable wind. Clear overnight. 95/67

Palouse

Today: A 20 percent chance of showers after 2pm. Increasing clouds. Light northwest wind becoming west 10 to 15 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 2am. Cloudy overnight. Southwest wind 5 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. 81/54

Tuesday: A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly before 11am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny. West wind 5 to 9 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. Mostly clear overnight. West wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the evening. 77/52

Wednesday: Sunny. Calm wind becoming southwest around 6 mph in the afternoon. Clear overnight. 85/55

Prairie

Today: A slight chance of thunderstorms after 5pm. Mostly sunny. Northwest wind 5 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 10%. Showers and thunderstorms before 2am, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 2am and 5am, then showers after 5am.  Northwest wind 6 to 15 mph becoming southwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. 80/55

Tuesday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 8am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny. Northwest wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Mostly clear overnight. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming south in the evening. 71/52
