NAIA Opening Round, Presented by Avista, Tournament Field and Information

Lewiston, ID -The NAIA announced the tournament field for the 2023 NAIA Baseball Championship Opening Rounds, presented by Avista, and Lewis-Clark State College will host a four-team bracket starting Monday, May 15. No. 10 Hope International (Calif.), No 21 Science & Arts (Okla.), (RV) Concordia (Mich.) and (RV) Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) will battle for a spot in the 2023 Avista NAIA World Series.

Play at Harris Field begins May 15 at 12:30 p.m. between second-seeded USAO and third-seeded Concordia Ann Arbor. Fourth-seeded LC State will face off with top-seeded HIU at 4 p.m. A full schedule can be found on the tournament central page. Only the eventual winner advances to the Avista NAIA World Series May26-June 2 at LC State’s Harris Field.

HARRIS FIELD

Parking is available across the street from Harris Field and the P1FCU Activity Center. Parking is free on a first-come, first-served basis in those lots.

Outside food and drink are NOT permitted at Harris Field. The NAIA does not allow artificial noise makers, and firearms and weapons are strictly prohibited. Animals are not allowed at Harris Field. Service animals much check in at the ticket office to receive clearance to be admitted into Harris Field. 

FAST TRACK & BAG POLICY

In an effort to enhance the experience for fans, vendors, and student-athletes, there will be a fast-track bag policy for the NAIA Opening Round, presented by Avista, and the 66th annual Avista NAIA World Series at Harris Field. This policy allows fans who have small bags or clear bags to enter the ballpark at a faster rate. Larger bags are allowed but will be subject to search before entering the ballpark.

Fast Track eligible bags include: clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags that do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″, one-gallon clear, resealable plastic storage bags and small clutch bags no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″ (approximately the size of a hand) with or without a handle or strap.

Bags that are subject to search include but are not limited to: purses, backpacks, diaper bags, binocular cases, camera cases, fanny packs, luggage, seat cushions with a zipper, any bag larger than the Fast Track size and any bag that is not clear.
