(Nez Perce County, ID) Over the last year, there has been discussions about the future of Deer Creek Road in Nez Perce County. The Nez Perce County Commissioners have been working with the road department and local residents to find an acceptable resolution specifically with regards to how Deer Creek Road should be maintained in the winter months. Some residents would like year round access while others would like the road closed for the winter to allow snow machines to function.
On Friday, November 1, the Nez Perce County Commissioners will be holding a public comment session at the Waha Bar and Grill (40787 Waha Road, Lewiston) starting at 11:00AM. No formal decisions will be considered or made by the Commissioners at this meeting. The Commissioners will also be in the area of Deer Creek Road to examine the road and other issues with winter maintenance throughout the day.
