Nez Perce National Historical Park News Release

Join us November 13, 2024, 12:00 pm. at the Spalding Visitor Center for a presentation about the various styles of Nimiipuu (Nez Perce) footwear from museum technician Lynn Pinkham. The varied collection of moccasin styles held at the museum will be shown during a bring-your-lunch presentation. The talk is free and open to the public. Native American & Indigenous Peoples across the nation will be participating in “Rock Your Mocs” the week of November 11-15. First established as a social media unity event to celebrate the unique tribal culture and heritage of Native Americans across the nation. Tribal peoples will symbolically wear their moccasins to honor their ancestors and indigenous people worldwide. Nez Perce National Historical Park’s Spalding Visitor Center is located 12 miles east of Lewiston at 39063 U.S. Highway 95. Park admission is free year-round.
