One Injured in I-90 Collision Near Coeur d’Alene

Coeur d’Alene, ID – Idaho State Police are investigating a vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 12:37 pm on westbound Interstate 90 near milepost 16 in Kootenai County, Idaho.

The driver of a semi tractor-trailer lost control on the Interstate and impacted cement barriers. The driver of the semi was out of the vehicle setting up his reflective triangles when he was impacted by a 2005 Toyota Sienna.

The semi tractor-trailer was occupied by a 22-year-old male driver from Missouri. The driver of the semi tractor-trailer sustained injuries and was transported to local hospital via ground ambulance. The Toyota Sienna was occupied by a 27-year-old female driver from Pinehurst, Idaho.

The right westbound lane of Interstate 90 at milepost 16 was blocked for approximately four hours to allow emergency responders to assist with those involved and clear the area.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
