BOISE – Resident Capped Elk Zone Tags go on sale tomorrow, July 10, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. (PDT). The tags are first come, first served and can be purchased at:

Hunters wishing to purchase their tags for the Sawtooth area will have to wait until Wednesday, July 12, 2023. Half of the Sawtooth tags will be available for purchase at in-person sites; the other half will be available online, via the app, or by phone.
Hunters who applied for limited or unlimited elk controlled hunt tags (except extra antlerless, super hunt, or depredation) will be subject to the 5-day waiting period rule. The rule ends at 10:00 a.m. MDT on Saturday, July 15, 2023.
For online purchasing or through the app, you will be placed into a virtual waiting room. At the time of the sale, hunters will be randomly assigned a place in line to enter the sale.
For inin-personurchasing, camping is not permitted at any Idaho Fish and Game location.
