KAMIAH, Idaho: October 6, 2023 – The official closure order for Forest Service Road #700 (Smith Ridge Road) expired on September 30th. The North Fork Ranger District has decided to not renew closure order # 01-17-53-23-002; however, reconstruction of the road will continue while weather and snow levels permit.
Please be advised that although the road is open, construction will continue Monday-Friday (7:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.) and travelers may experience lengthy delays as crews continue to finish the work for this season.
