Snow and High Winds Could Create Hazard on Highway 95- Closures Likely

Grangeville – With high winds and snow in the forecast, drivers should be prepared for winter conditions and possible road closures.

Winds are projected to pick up tonight, and with snow already on the ground, could create drifting snow on U.S. Highway 95 from Winchester to White Bird Grade. The storm is expected to continue through early Friday morning.

The Idaho Transportation Department could close sections of US-95 if drifting snow reduces visibility and makes it unsafe for travel.

Drivers are advised to check 511.idaho.gov to know before they go.
