**THIS ARTICLE PREVIOUSLY STATED SEPTEMBER 13, HANSEN HAS REACHED OUT TO INFORM IS THAT HE WAS INCORRECT WHEN COMMUNICATING THE ORIGINAL DATE**

(Lewiston, ID)  On Friday September 11, Lewiston High School Administration was notified of a fight that had taken place in one of the school’s bathrooms.  Administrators immediately called in each student involved in the incident for interviews.

At the time of the incident, all parties reported that they had been “horsing around” and that there was no real fight that had broken out.

“We were made aware of an altercation in the bathroom during lunch hour.  All parties involved indicated that they had been horsing around.  When a student in the bathroom noticed another student with a bloody nose, they reported that the student stated that they had slipped and fallen.” Stated Superintendent Hansen.

“All of their stories lined up, so we responded to the situation based on the information that we had at that time. Later on, administration was informed that it was a fight, and not just students wrestling in the bathroom.  Fighting, and any unsafe behavior, is a suspend-able offense.  Any form of unsafe behavior, and any level of involvement, will lead to a suspension.  Actions were taken, and that type of behavior will not be tolerated in our school district.” Said Hansen.

Our team has yet to reach the family of the hospitalized student, however we will provide additional updates to the story as we receive them.
