The Boil Water Alert Order will remain in effect until further notice for City of Lewiston water customers who are still receiving water from the affected reservoir (see attached maps).
The purpose of the boil water order is precautionary, in order to protect the users of the water system. To date, all water samples have come back clean and staff is working diligently to draw water from other sources within the system for its customers. Therefore, the Department of Environmental Quality has given the City of Lewiston the green light to lift the boil water order for its customers that are no longer served by the damaged reservoir. Staff are currently working to address the remainder of customers serviced by the affected reservoir.
Please review the attached information regarding do’s and don’ts for customers still under the Boil Water Order.
