The City of Pullman Announces Additional Main Street Paving Delays

October 4, 2024

(Pullman, WA) The time needed to remove contaminated soils and the difficulty in carefully locating inadequately mapped antique infrastructure slowed the construction team. As a result, paving of Main Street and limited reopening of the roadway is delayed from the goal of mid-October to an anticipated late October or early November opening.

Once the roadway is partially open, the construction team, which has been working weekends, will continue to work to complete installation of the new sidewalk, landscaping and other surface amenities. The overall “Physical completion” date, which means everything is complete with the exception of minor punch list items, is only delayed about two days, from November 20th to November 22nd.
