The Idaho Department of Education Invites Comments on Proposed Changes to Special Education Manual

(BOISE, ID) – The Idaho Department of Education is inviting the public to comment on proposed changes to the state’s Special Education Manual.

Revisions are being made to ensure compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act’s (IDEA) provisions surrounding the eligibility of Specific Learning Disability (SLD). Members of the public will have the option to comment digitally through an online comment form or at an in-person hearing. Hearings will be held at the Idaho Department of Education on July 22 and 23 with an available live stream option.
