WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON PST TODAY… …WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON… * WHAT…For the Winter Weather Advisory, snow expected. Total snow accumulations 1 to 3 inches with locally up to 6 inches on the Camas Prairie. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 5 and 10 inches possible, locally lower amounts of 2 to 4 inches in the Lewis Clark Valley. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph. * WHERE…Pomeroy, Lapwai, Lewiston Grade, Alpowa Summit, Craigmont, Culdesac, Lewiston, Peck, Soldiers Meadow Road, Clarkston, Kamiah, Nezperce, Winchester, and Gifford. * WHEN…For the Winter Weather Advisory, until noon PST today. For the Winter Storm Watch, from late tonight through Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. Winter travel conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute and Thursday evening commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…For Thursday and Friday, an Arctic front tracking into North Idaho Thursday night and Friday will bring gusty northeast winds with areas of blowing and drifting snow and much colder temperatures.

LC Valley

Today: Rain and snow, mainly after 10am. Breezy, with a west wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 19 to 24 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Rain and snow likely before 10pm, then a chance of snow. Mostly cloudy overnight. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible. 40/17
