Traffic Stop Yields Large Quantity of Marijuana and Psilocybin Mushrooms

Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho- In the early hours of 02/08/2024, a Kootenai County Sheriff’s Deputy initiated a traffic stop in the area of Interstate 90 and Northwest Boulevard.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Mackenzie A. Ivers, a 39-year-old male from Willits, California. Ivers had a non-extraditable warrant out of Jacksonville, Illinois.

During the course of the investigation, the deputy located approximately 12 pounds of marijuana and approximately 20.5 grams of psilocybin Mushrooms inside the vehicle.

Ivers was placed under arrest for trafficking marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
