(Colfax, WA) Whitman County Deputies stopped a vehicle with an expired registration in the early morning hours on Tuesday at the south end of Colfax.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the driver, 28-year-old Jacob Bremer of Clarkston, had a warrant for his arrest out of Asotin County. Bremer was arrested and transported to the Whitman County Jail.
The passenger, 31-year-old Desmond Beck, also of Clarkston, had warrants out Whitman County and Asotin County, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Beck was also arrested and transported to the Whitman County Jail.
Deputies contacted the Clarkston Police Department and requested they make contact with the registered owner of the vehicle. Clarkston Policelocated the registered owner and it was determined the vehicle had been stolen and the registered owner was unaware.
In addition to charges related to his warrant, Bremer is now facing a charge for possession of a stolen vehicle.
