Two Juveniles Hospitalized After Being Struck by Vehicle on Thain Road

(Lewiston, ID) Lewiston Police and Fire were dispatched to the intersection of Thain Road and Preston Avenue for a report of a traffic collision with injuries on Thursday.

According to police, when officers arrived on scene at about 4:30 p.m. on December 26, it was discovered that two juvenile pedestrians were struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Thain Road.

Both juveniles, ages 16 and 17, were transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center by ambulance with serious injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, 65-year-old Corrine Reedy, of Lewiston, was traveling northbound on Thain when the incident occurred. Reedy did not sustain any injuries.

Lewiston Police Department’s Major Collision Investigation Team was called to the scene and is investigating.

Thain Road was closed for approximately 4 hours during the initial investigation. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this collision is asked to contact Sgt. Craig Roberts at (208) 746-0171.
