U-Pick Pumpkin Events at the WSU Organic Farm Start Next Week

PULLMAN – The WSU Eggert Family Organic Farm will host U-Pick pumpkin times over two weekends starting next week.

The public can visit the farm from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, or from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1. The farm will be open on the same schedule the following weekend, Oct. 7 and 8.

Proceeds go back into the farm, which provides WSU students a place for hands-on learning of organic farming practices.

Several varieties of pumpkins are available, including minis, pies, and jack-o-lanterns.

More details are available on the farm’s website or on Facebook. Pumpkins are all pre-priced and can be purchased after picking them on site.

The farm stand will also be open during the U-Pick times with a wide selection of fall crops including onions, shallots, potatoes, carrots, winter squash, and more. No pets allowed. Cards are preferred for payment.

The farm is located on Animal Science Rd., directly behind the WSU Bear Research, Education, and Conservation Center.
