Volleyball’s Bachman Named CCC SAAC Chair

LEWISTON, Idaho – LC State Volleyball’s Ashlee Bachman was named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Chair at the CCC meetings earlier this month.

“I am so excited for Ashlee,” Athletic Director Brooke Henze said. “This is great opportunity for her, and she is a great advocate for our student-athletes.”

Bachman, a Lewiston native, is the secretary of LC State’s SAAC group and serves as one of two Warrior representatives at the conference level. She will be the CCC’s national representative to the NAIA’s Association of Student-Athletes (ASA).

“I’m honored to have been chosen by the commissioner to take on this responsibility and be a voice for the student-athletes in the Cascade Conference,” Bachman said. “Going into the conference meeting, I was excited to meet everyone face-to-face and get to know my fellow leaders on a more personal level. I got the opportunity to dive a little deeper into the NAIA and the roles that we as student-athlete leaders get to fill.

“I know there are going to challenge this year and I can’t wait to take them on,” Bachman continued. “I am confident in the leadership that surrounds me in this position, and I have no doubt that I will be guided through this year smoothly. This position gives me the opportunity to grow my leadership and communication skills while acting as a representative for both LC State and the conference. I got to take an inside look into the vision that the NAIA has going forward, and I am grateful that I get to be a part of the change that is going to positively impact the student-athletes in the NAIA. I cannot wait to dive in and represent the organization that I love and the amazing group of athletes that encompass it.”

Bachman will also work with the CCC on CCC SAAC agendas, speaker series, newsletter content and more.
