LEWISTON, Idaho – The annual Warrior Athletic Association’s Wake Up with the Warriors breakfast, in conjunction with LC State’s annual Warrior Giving Day, will be held on April 10 at 7 a.m. at the P1FCU Activity Center on campus.

The event, which is one of the largest fundraisers for the WAA, is free and open to the public, but donations are strongly encouraged. The event gives donors the options of donating to the WAA Scholarship Fund, to one of LC State’s 13 athletic programs, and/or to the athletic endowment fund.

During the breakfast, attendees will sit with student-athletes and also hear from some of the student-athletes about what helped them on their successful journey at LC State.

The WAA will also recognize Lifetime Warrior Award Recipient, Dick and the late Barbra Riggs. Past award winners include: Willard Teel, Jim and Susan Mahan, Kay Williams, Colleen Mahoney, Mike Ripley, Paul Thompson, Don and Joanne Poe, Phil and Marilyn Stonebraker, Jim and LaVonne Heitmann, Liza and Jerry Chavez and Paul and Deanna Stewart.

An RSVP is required to attend the event. To RSVP, or for more information on the event, contact Samantha Malinich at sfmalinich@lcsc.edu or 208-792-2275 or register at lcwarriors.com/waa. If you are unable to attend the event and would like to support Warrior Giving Day, visit www.lcsc.edu/warriorgivingday.

The WAA’s mission is to promote community awareness while developing and retaining relationships between student-athletes and the community, along with raising nonprofit funds for all Warrior athletic programs.
