Wanted man From Asotin County Apprehended in Flordia

ASOTIN COUNTY – On October 3, Thomas “Gene” E. McDonald was apprehended in Cedar Key, Florida on outstanding arrest warrants from Asotin County. McDonald was wanted on charges of delivery of controlled substances to minors and for rape of a child in the 3rd degree.

The investigation began in 2013 and revealed McDonald had reportedly been supplying cigarettes, drugs, and alcohol to minors and traded these items for cash and/or sexual favors.

In 2014, McDonald failed to appear in court, fled the area, and remained at large, since that time. The Asotin County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the citizens who provided tips, the U.S. Marshals Service, and local law enforcement in Cedar Key, Florida for their assistance in apprehending McDonald.
