| CORVALLIS, Ore. – No. 9-ranked Lewis-Clark State College Baseball was named the Under Armour Team of the Week for April 8 – 14, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
Lewis-Clark State had a huge weekend, sweeping No. 2-ranked LSU Shreveport.
In game one, Magnum Hofstetter led the Warriors going 2-for-3 at the plate. Drake George got the shutout on the mound, striking out eight batters in seven innings. LC State recorded eight hits and were errorless in the field, leading to a 1-0 victory.
In game two, the Warriors took a 10 inning contest with a final score of 4-3. Brandon Cabrera led LC State with three hits and a run. Cameron Smith got the win on the mound, not allowing a run and striking out two batters in 3.2 innings.
In game three, LC State won 8-3 and recorded nine hits and were errorless in the field. Charlie Updegrave led the Warriors, going 2-for-3 at the plate with four RBIs and a run. Decker Stedman got the win on the mound, not allowing a run and striking out two batters in five innings.
In game four, Pu’ukani De Sa led the Warriors with four hits and an RBI. LC State loaded on the runs with a 14-8 final score. Zachary Ediger got the win on the mound, not allowing a run in 2.1 innings.
Up next, Lewis-Clark State is headed to Canada for a CCC series against (RV) University of British Columbia next weekend. |
