Corvallis Ore. – (Release from Lewis-Clark State College Athletics) Lewis-Clark State Baseball swept the Cascade Conference Rize Laboratory Baseball Athletes of the Week for performances the week of Feb. 27-March 5. Dominic Signorelli was voted the CCC Baseball Player of the Week for the second week in a row, and Dallas McGill earned the first conference Pitcher of the Week honor of his Warrior career.
DOMINIC SIGNORELLI – BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Signorelli led LC State in total bases and RBI in five games to help the No. 2 Warriors to a 5-0 record. The sophomore from Moses Lake, Wash., slugged 1.000 with a .524 on-base percentage after going 8-for-18 (.444) with four doubles, two home runs and three walks. Signorelli drove in 10 runs and scored nine. The LC third baseman did not make an error in 13 total chances.
This is Signorelli’s second weekly honor of the season.
DALLAS MGCILL – BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
McGill made two starts in the last week and totaled 7.2 innings on the mound. The lefty struck out 11 with just one walk and gave up only six hits. In his start against College of Idaho, the sophomore went 4.2 innings with seven strikeouts. McGill started game four of the series with Eastern Oregon and went three innings with four strikeouts.
This is the first weekly honor of McGill’s Warrior career.
