KANSAS CITY, Mo. – With a dominant victory over NCAA Division III Whitman under its belt, the Lewis-Clark State Women’s Basketball team moved up one spot to the No. 10 in the latest NAIA ratings. The Warriors enter a busy weekend as a top-10 program.

Sophomore Sitara Byrd was voted the Cascade Conference Player of the Week after notching a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds against the Blues last week. The Warrior defense was stellar with 14 steals and nine blocked shots, including five blocks by freshman Darian Herring. LC State tallied 33 points off the bench to showcase its depth which will be key as the season progresses.

Conference foe Eastern Oregon fell one spot to No. 17 and Southern Oregon is receiving votes. Former Frontier Conference opponents that the Warriors will see in non-conference play include No. 5 Carroll (Mont.) and No. 18 Providence (Mont.).
