Women’s Basketball Ranked No. 11 in NAIA Preseason Rating

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Warrior women will start the 2023-24 season ranked No. 11 in the NAIA, according the NAIA Women’s Basketball Coaches Top 25 Preseason Rating released on Wednesday. LC State wrapped up its 2022-23 campaign in Sioux City, Iowa, at the NAIA Round of 16.

 

Lewis-Clark State Women’s Basketball captured its third straight Cascade Conference title last season as the regular-season co-champions. The Warriors have won the CCC each of the three years they have been in the conference. LC received the conference’s first automatic bid into the national tournament, hosted and won the NAIA First and Second Rounds and faced eventual NAIA National Champion, Clarke (Iowa), in the Round of 16.

 

The Warriors return two-time Cascade Conference Player of the Year Callie Stevens and two-time First-Team All-Cascade Conference selection Maddie Holm, as well as All-CCC Honorable Mention honoree Ellie Sander. Reigning CCC Freshman of the Year Sitara Byrd is back for her sophomore season under first-year head coach Caelyn Orlandi.
