(Yakima, WA) On February 9th, 2025, at approximately 10:40 pm, Yakima Police officers responded to a report of a person crying in the 1400 block of Folsom Ave. Upon arrival, officers located a 21-year-old male and a 1-year-old male, both with apparent gunshot wounds. The 21-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene. The one-year-old was transported via ambulance to Memorial MultiCare for medical treatment and is currently stable.
Yakima Police detectives responded to the scene to investigate. at this time a suspect has not been identified and the investigation is ongoing. Next of kin of the deceased has been notified, however, their name is being withheld to provide the family time to make notifications.
