(Lewiston, ID) The YWCA Lewiston-Clarkston is excited to announce its annual “Soup-Port Our Shelters” fundraiser, scheduled for Friday, February 28, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at 300 Main Street, Lewiston, Idaho. This popular community event supports survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence through the YWCA’s shelter programs.
For a $25 ticket, attendees receive a unique, hand-painted bowl crafted by community volunteers, along with their choice of soup, bread and butter, a cookie, and a drink. Local law enforcement and first responder agencies, including the Lewiston Police Department, Clarkston Police Department, Lewiston Fire Department, Clarkston Fire Department, and Nez Perce County Sherriff’s Office, will prepare and serve a variety of delicious soups. Attendees of the event vote for their favorite, with the winning team receiving the coveted 2025 Best Soup Trophy.
For those unable to attend in person, a delivery option is available if ordered by Friday, February 21, featuring soups prepared specially for the event by local restaurants, including The Blue Lantern, Hells Canyon Grand Hotel, The Strike & Spare, Happy Day Catering and The Quay Restaurant.
The YWCA extends its gratitude to Banner Bank, the title sponsor of this year’s event, as well as CCI Spear and P1FCU, ICCU, Avista, Douglass Law and Twin River Bank, for their generous support. Attendees can also enjoy a photo booth, swag and beverages courtesy of Swire Coca-Cola.
“This cherished community event has been taking place for over 20 years and is one that people really look forward to,” said Victoria Scalise, Development & Community Engagement Director of the YWCA Lewiston-Clarkston. “Our participating local heroes look forward to preparing their delectable soups for competition to get voted for the coveted Best Soup Trophy for 2025.”
