160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment Visits Lewiston

(Lewiston, ID) Army Special Forces 160th Aviation Regiment visited Lewiston yesterday, May 14th, in an MH47 Gulf Chinook Helicopter.  

The 160th Aviation Regiment is a special operations force of the United States Army.  Their main purpose is to provide helicopter aviation support for special operation forces.  Such support includes missions involving attack, assault and reconnaissance.  These missions are generally conducted at night, at high speeds, at low altitudes and on short notice.
