NEWBURG, Ore. – The (RV) Lewis-Clark State Men’s Tennis team completed its three-match road trip to Oregon with a 7-0 victory against William Jessup (Calif.).
“These matches are definitely preparing us for the upcoming matches in Georgia,” coach Kai Fong said.
Dan Felker ended the road trip undefeated, going 3-0 in both singles and doubles. In No. 1 singles the freshman from Kazakhstan defeated Roger Wen 6-2, 6-4. Teaming with Cade Edwards in No. 1 doubles, Felker took down Roger Wen and Kadyn Silva 6-1.
Declan Townsend returned to singles action, earning a No. 2 victory over Kadyn Silva 6-3, 6-0. Itaru Kikuchi swept his No. 4 singles contest with Austrebeto Carlon 6-0, 6-0. Kikuchi and Townsend were also victorious in No. 2 doubles defeating Jordan Lenney and Isaac Graves 6-2.
Cade Edwards, Austin Swing and Daniel Tevez also picked up singles victories as the Warriors swept all six 1-on-1 contests.
