Lewiston Man Caught with Almost Two Pounds of Methamphetamine

Lewiston Police Detectives arrested a 41-year-old Lewiston man on charges of Trafficking methamphetamine, heroin and felony Injury to a Child following a traffic stop at about 1813 hours on 2/27/23.


Michael Lansdowne was stopped by Lewiston Police Patrol Officers in the 2200 block of 3rd Avenue North, in Lewiston. Lansdowne’s 3-year-old daughter was in the vehicle with him when he was contacted by officers. Lewiston Police Detectives applied for a search warrant for Lansdowne’s vehicle, person and home in the 2900 block of Garfield Court in Lewiston. Detectives found about 889 grams of methamphetamine and about 12 grams of heroin in the trunk of the vehicle. Search of the home uncovered another approximate 18 grams of heroin and two firearms.

Lansdowne was the target of a long-term investigation by LPD members of the FBI’s North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force working jointly with the Quad Cities Drug Task Force. Idaho State Police also contributed information to the case.
