Clarkston DECA Students to Attend DECA ICDC in Orlando, FL

Clarkston, Wash. – Clarkston High School DECA took 44 students to compete at the Washington State Career Development Conference March 2-4th in Bellevue, WA. Twenty of those students qualified for the International Competition in Orlando FL, which will be held April 21st – 25th, 2023

DECA is a nationwide vocational student organization for students enrolled in marketing-related courses. Over 3,500 DECA students competed at the state competition in Bellevue competing in a variety of events including Chapter Team Events, Business Operations Research Events, Chapter Awards Projects, and Business Role-Play Events. The DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) is the culmination of the DECA year. More than 20,000 high school students, teacher-advisors, business professionals, and alumni gather for several days of DECA excitement. The 76th Annual International Career Development Conference will have over 20,000 competitors at this year’s competition. The following students qualified for the International Career Development Conference, in Orlando, Florida.

DECA’S EMERGING LEADER SERIES is designed to empower DECA members to provide effective leadership through goal setting, consensus building, and project implementation. Aligned with 21st Century Skills in the areas of critical thinking and problem solving, communication and collaboration, and creativity and innovation. DECA’s Emerging Leader Series prepares members to be effective leaders in college and careers.
