LEWIS-CLARK VALLEY – More than 200 business and nonprofit members attended the Twin County United Way Campaign Kickoff Breakfast earlier this month where the local non-profit’s leaders and Board Members shared the mission, vision and importance of employee giving.
The Twin County United Way fights for the health, education and financial stability for every person in Asotin and Nez Perce counties. The organization asked those in attendance to join the fight with the campaign message: United we fight. United we win.
Kristin Kemak, CEO and Blake Harrington, Director of Operations and Programs shared their personal stories about why they both decided to work for the organization. Board Member Cathy Jo Witters provided the main presentation, asking the attendees for their support stating, “Our community was built on a foundation where you care for your neighbor, we are built on the theory that we are small enough to care, yet large enough to make a difference”.
Many donors and supporters are first introduced to the United Way through workplace giving programs. By kicking off the campaign with this breakfast, the United Way team hopes to connect with even more individuals to reach this year’s campaign goal to engage 3,000 donors in the 2023-24 campaign.
